I am a Conservative activist and engineer. My background as an elected councillor and parliamentary candidate has given me a wide variety of experience.

In my work as an engineer I have contributed to some of the country's most iconic designs, including the London 2012 Olympics. I am very proud to have recently been made a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers.

As an engineer I go where the work is, living in London and spending as much time as possible on the family farm in Devon.

I am someone who gets things done. I am used to working with others to find and agree the best way forward. Doing things well is not as important as doing the right thing.

I am a Conservative who believes in a better state, realising that government can't and shouldn't do everything. For a strong future we need to empower people and communities.

Using my background as as an engineer, I want to ensure infrastructure connects communities, - whilst building prosperity for local people and businesses.

Isobel has been a Conservative parliamentary candidate in Bristol and London.
